Ryan Ault was the high school boys winner, and Hauser’s high school girls team placed second in the 36th Heritage Days Cross Country Classic.
Ault finished in 17:52 to take his third straight individual Heritage Days Classic win. Alex Bower placed 7th with a time of 19:28, while Tanner Ault (19:56) and Colin Kistler (19:59) finished 11th and 12th with personal-best times. Aiden Cheshire also recorded a PR of 24:40, placing 38th. Hauser’s boys placed third behind Eastern Hancock and Blue River Valley.
Amanda Steward was the Jets’ top finisher in the girls race, placing 7th with a time of 25:15. Reiss Kistler was 12th (27:25), Addison Jones 13th (27:29), Kaitlynn Everroad 14th (28:25), Tammy Essex 16th (29:50), and Lexi Tallent 21st (34:47). The girls team were runners-up to Indy Genesis.
In the middle school races, Taeshaun Tungate (11th) and Madison Hollman (32nd) were the top finishers for Hauser.
