The varsity cross country team traveled to the Crawford County Invitational on Saturday for a preview of the new regional site, where they placed fifth out of fourteen scoring teams and were runners-up to Orleans in their Class A/AA division. Jace Wright was first across the line for the Jets, covering a challenging course in 17:13.5 and taking 4th place out of 146th finishers. Max Moore was next in line in 18:46.1, finishing 18th, with Braydon McFarland close behind at 19:04.7 for 25th place. Nevin Noble took 43rd with a time of 19:51.9, while Kevin Heindel moved up over the course of the race to take 50th place with a new personal best of 20:38.8. Mason Johnson (21:16.7; 72nd), Evan Tibbs (24:05.1; 116th) and Grady Niccum (27:07.7; 135th) rounded out the Jets squad.
