Boys Cross Country Finish 3rd at Whiteland Invite

The high school and middle school cross country teams both competed in the Whiteland Invitational on Saturday. The boys varsity team took third to Whiteland and New Palestine, led by a second-place finish by Nolan Dailey in 16:16.26. Jace White (17:22.41) and Max Moore (17:28.92) also had top-ten medalist finishes, coming in sixth and eighth. Mason Moore took 33rd with a time of 18:35.74, Braydon McFarland was 42nd (19:02.67), Grady Niccum was 72nd (21.21.10), Mason Johnson 94th (21:31.65), and Max Miller 122nd (254:13.30). The middle school boys and girls teams both placed fifth. The boys were led by Matthew Moore in fifth and Nevin Noble in tenth, while the girls were led by Jaylee Maughan in third and Kendalyn Gernentz in eighth. The varsity's next meet will be Jennings County's Ray Gerkin Invitational this Saturday, while the junior high will race in next Tuesday's Central Chargers Classic.
