Hauser Tennis Battles but Falls to Trinity Lutheran, 0-5 The Hauser boys’ tennis team put up a strong fight on Thursday night but came up short against a solid Trinity Lutheran squad, falling 0-5 in a competitive match. At #1 singles, James Oliver battled through two tight sets before falling to Daniel Naewedde, 5-7, 4-6. In #2 singles, Joel Bechtel won a grueling first set in a tiebreak, 7-6, but was forced to resign the match, giving the win to Zach Lister of Trinity. Graydon Kilps also put up a tough fight at #3 singles, dropping a close match to Adam Alberring, 4-6, 5-7. In doubles action, the #1 team of Kameron Blair and RJ Foster started strong but couldn’t maintain momentum, falling to Jonathon Naewedde and Reed Roeder, 4-6, 0-6. The #2 doubles pairing of Jacob Bell and Brady Miller also played a tight first set but came up short against Luke Shepman and Ross Bevers, 4-6, 2-6. Though the Jets were unable to secure a win, several matches were closely contested, showing continued growth and competitiveness from the squad
